Everything is so fucked up and it's all my fault.

| After last semester's last second effort to schedule classes, I decided to start a little earlier this time. And for the first time, I actually know my fall schedule a full 50 days in advance! Barring any changes, I'll be taking...
ENGL 310 - Nature of Poetry, WMF 9:30 - 10:20 ENGL 360 - Major British Writers, WMF 10:30 - 11:20 COMM 130 - Communication & Society, T/TH 9:30 - 10:45 COMM 305 - Visual Technology, T/TH 11:00 - 12:15 MKT 300 - Intro To Marketing, T/TH 12:30 - 1:45
What's funny is that I didn't sign up for any psychology classes after declaring it as my major last week. After some thought, I don't think I'm going to go that route, but at least it gets WSU to stop nagging me about choosing one. I think I might actually switch directions and move towards a Communications major. I was looking at the classes offered within that field, and a lot of them appealed to me. With the degree, I could land a job in marketing, public relations, broadcast journalism, advertising, speechwriting, etc. All of those sound like things I would enjoy doing, so I think it's a good choice for me and it opens up a lot of opportunities. Eventually I'll get around to declaring it officially.
A week from today, I'll be signing a lease with Josh for our apartment. We were originally going to go with Berkshire, where Dennis and Drew live, but luckily we did a little hunting around first. Somewhat on a whim, we decided to check out Remington Park, which is on Ridge Road, just south of the old WSU west campus. The apartment complex is a little old, but the interiors are nice and you can't argue with the price. $440 a month for a garden-level (read: half-basement) 2-bedroom apartment, and they pay everything except for electricity, which averages around $75 a month. I'm going to take the money I'm saving on rent and apply it to Cable TV. Monday Night Football at my place this fall!
For those who don't read Drew's Xanga, www.pandora.com is the coolest website evar!!!! You give it a band you like, and it streams it, along with other bands that it thinks you'll like based on your musical tastes. The library is quite extensive, and I've only stumped it with a few bands. Even if the band you like isn't on there, you're bound to find hundreds more that you'll love.

| I'm at Dennis's right now and more than a wee bit intoxicated. Drew and I bet Dennis that we'd beat him at Smash Bros. in a team match, but that didn't happen. More updates to come soon, and I intend to actually update the site on a more frequent basis than the current bi-monthly rate. And on that note I'm gonna go pass out on the couch for a couple hours then go home. |
